Biography

Dr. Sanam Dolati is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She earned her PhD in Immunology from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Iran, and completed postdoctoral training at UMass Chan Medical School before joining The Lundquist Institute. Her research focuses on host–pathogen interactions, fungal pathogenesis, innate immunity, and immunometabolism, with particular emphasis on invasive fungal infections caused by Mucorales. Her current work investigates the molecular mechanisms of mucoricin-induced cell death, host immune responses, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies against mucormycosis. Dr. Dolati has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in immunology, neuroimmunology, infectious diseases, and inflammatory disorders.
